Pflaum GmbH is a family-owned logistics company headquartered in Strullendorf near Bamberg, Germany. Founded in 1980, Pflaum today operates over 1,700 employees, more than 1,000 trucks and approximately 80,000 m² of warehouse space, covering the entire supply chain — from transportation and warehousing to value-added services. A key area of focus is food distribution.

In 2023, we replaced the existing WMS at the first 3PL site and implemented plx.wmx®. The previous system had reached its limits. The logistics provider required a WMS with greater functional depth and the ability to increase warehouse performance. Recently, the second site in Strullendorf also went live — within just one week. The expansion and integration became necessary due to outsourcing of articles as well as returns handling for non-food products.
