Peintures Robin S.A. in Luxembourg has been developing and distributing paints and varnishes for industry, construction, bodywork and as special solutions for numerous other sectors since 1927. At its warehouse locations in Useldange and Leudelange, Robin stocks the complete range of its paints for the construction and industrial sectors and ships daily to its customers in Central Europe and beyond.
To increase productivity in the two warehouses and in distribution, the company has opted for the proven and future-proof viadat warehouse management system from viastore SOFTWARE. With viadat, the resources at the existing locations can be optimally utilized. For the first time, Robin will also be able to comprehensively monitor processes and inventories.
The new system was introduced by PureLoX SOLUTIONS, a partner company of viastore SOFTWARE and very familiar with the viadat WMS solution. „Consulting, project management and implementation of the new software went very smoothly for us. Particularly positive: the system went live at our two locations within a month,“ says Steve Gereke, Head of Logistics, looking back on the successful collaboration.
As experienced optimizers of digital and manual processes in logistics, the experts at PureLoX SOLUTIONS designed the entire project process in a targeted manner. The result is rounded off by the software adaptations implemented in close coordination with and by viastore.
„In addition to the overarching project goals of optimizing the warehouse and logistics processes with viadat, our customer-oriented goals were the introduction of wireless data transmission, minimizing error potential, increasing inventory security and managing employees during storage and retrieval processes,“ explains Patrick Schlag, Logistics Consultant at PureLoX.
The next steps are in progress: PureLoX SOLUTIONS is preparing to implement the viadat software in the new building, which is planned for 2018.
