LZA – Logistik Zentrum Allgäu – has a state-of-the-art logistics center in Immenstadt and sees itself as an integrated logistics and service provider.
With comprehensive expertise in the entire supply chain, the company analyzes and evaluates its customers’ process chains and develops suitable logistics solutions on this basis. The focus of the service portfolio is contract logistics. LZA takes on all logistics tasks and value-added services for its customers along the value chain.

Logistics 4.0 is not a vision at LZA, but already a reality in many areas. As part of the digital transformation, those responsible also wanted to automate the complex billing processes as comprehensively as possible. Oliver Groten, one of the two Managing Directors of LZA: “We had long wanted software that could automatically generate our often complex customer invoices. We were not yet sure whether there was a suitable product for logistics service providers with so many different service modules and customers that would not have to be completely redeveloped at great expense. Today we know that it is possible. With plx.billing from PureLoX SOLUTIONS, we now have a product in use that can be flexibly configured to the individual requirements of the LTA and generates our invoices fully automatically.”
plx.billing is a software add-on that the logistics process developers at PureLoX SOLUTIONS, who are experienced in intralogistics, have been offering for several years. The solution is already being used successfully by large logistics service providers with complex value chains. The special feature is the flexible options offered by the intelligent software architecture. plx.billing can be easily integrated into existing IT infrastructures, whether installed locally or as a cloud solution. Secure access to data from various systems, such as WMS, TMS or ERP, can be implemented flexibly. The intuitive user interface is immediately available via a web browser and can be assigned within the team using a role concept.
For the LTA, it was important that plx.billing could completely fulfill the special requirements. Christian Henrich, Application Consultant at PureLoX: “The aim of the LTA was to be able to map all the usual billing modalities in practice. This varies from customer to customer and depends on many factors. It must also be possible to integrate new customers quickly. As a result, the LTA can now configure the billing modalities for each customer completely freely and independently.”
The introduction of the software parallel to the ongoing operation of the logistics center went well for LZA thanks to reliable project planning and the close, cooperative partnership with PureLoX. As the intralogistics specialists from PureLoX have a high level of practical experience in implementing, customizing and training the software, all requirements were reliably implemented right up to the go-live.
Thanks to automation, the billing processes at LZA are now much more efficient than in the past. “In the past, we had to combine many individual services that we provided for our customers over several individual steps for billing purposes. That simply costs time. With the new software solution, we have fully automated these processes. Our team quickly became familiar with the use of plx.billing. The convenient options with the receipt designer and mail function also support us in our daily work. We are very satisfied with the result for LZA,” concludes Oliver Groten.
